January Saints of the Month

Virtue: Positivity – Trusting in God, Even When It’s Hard

At St. Anastasia Catholic School, our Saint of the Month program continues to highlight students who demonstrate strong character, academic responsibility, positive attitudes, and a commitment to living out our monthly virtue.

In January, our focus was Positivity.

Positivity is more than simply having a cheerful attitude when things are easy. True positivity is choosing hope when challenges arise. It means encouraging others when they are struggling, persevering through difficult assignments, showing kindness in frustrating moments, and trusting in God’s plan even when we do not fully understand it.

Throughout the month, our teachers and staff observed students who modeled this virtue in meaningful ways; by offering words of encouragement, maintaining strong effort in their schoolwork, and approaching each day with faith and resilience.

We are proud to recognize the following students as our January Saints of the Month:

  • Graham Dumyron | Kindergarten

  • Rylie Buchholz | 3rd Grade

  • Sadie Dahl | 4th Grade

  • Joseph Enright | 6th Grade

These students demonstrated what it means to stay positive, especially when things feel challenging. Their trust in God, uplifting spirit, and perseverance serve as an example for their classmates and our entire school community.

Congratulations to our January Saints of the Month! We are grateful for the light and encouragement you bring to St. Anastasia Catholic School.

Support Our School Through the Annual Catholic Schools Raffle

January 16, 2026

The Annual Catholic Schools Raffle is an important tradition at St. Anastasia Catholic School—and a meaningful way to support our students. When you purchase a raffle ticket, you’re doing more than entering to win a prize; you’re helping strengthen classrooms, programs, and opportunities that benefit our students every day.

One of the most impactful parts of this raffle is that 100% of the funds raised stay right here at our school, directly supporting the education and experiences of our students. Your generosity helps ensure St. Anastasia continues to provide a strong, faith-filled education for years to come.

Tickets are $10 each, and the raffle features $30,000 in cash prizes. Tickets may be purchased from a St. Anastasia student or after all weekend Masses. We encourage you to buy a ticket, share the opportunity with friends and family, and thank you for being part of something bigger for our school community.

An Evening to Support Our Students: Roots to Wings Gala

January 12, 2026

St. Anastasia Catholic School invites you to join us on Saturday, April 11, at Crow River Golf Club for an evening of celebration, community, and support at our annual Roots to Wings Gala.

The Roots to Wings Gala is one of our school’s largest fundraisers, helping us continue to provide a high-quality, faith-centered education for our K–8 students. Proceeds from this year’s event will support school security enhancements and improvements, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment where all students can learn and grow at St. Anastasia.

Seats and tables are now available for purchase, and we invite our school families, parish community, and supporters to be part of this meaningful evening in support of Catholic education.

Learn more and reserve your seats or table at:

Questions may be directed to Sarah Skoog.

Celebrating Our December Saints of the Month

January 12, 2026

Each month at St. Anastasia Catholic School, we recognize students who model strong character, positive attitudes, academic responsibility, and the virtue of the month. In December, our focus was Patience—learning to wait with hope and trust, and to remember that God’s timing is always perfect.

Patience can be challenging, especially in a busy world, but these students showed us what it looks like to remain calm, kind, and faithful even when things don’t happen right away. Through their actions, they reflected trust in God and respect for others.

Congratulations to Our December Saints of the Month:

  • Margo Laffen | 1st Grade

  • Milo Luthens | 2nd Grade

  • Julia Blom | 5th Grade

  • Charlie McClure | 6th Grade

We are proud of each of these students for living out the virtue of patience in their classrooms and throughout our school community. May their example remind us all to trust in God’s timing and to approach each day with grace and understanding.

Congratulations, Saints of the Month!
