The Adult Faith Formation programming at St. Anastasia is geared to help anyone 18+ to grow deeper in knowing and loving Jesus Christ. We offer many opportunities for you to do this.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
Each Alpha session has food, an engaging video, and conversation with others. The discussion time is what makes Alpha unique. The group leader will start the conversation but the direction it goes is up to the group. You are free to share anything you believe. Join the conversation!
Participating in Alpha has been fun and thought provoking. I have enjoyed going through this experience with my husband and a great group of St A’s parishioners.
Our faith is in constant need of nourishment. I recommend Alpha as a source of nourishment for growth and confidence to strengthen your faith to be more bold in bringing others to Jesus.

We hold live classes of each of the following throughout the year:
Eucharist Bible Study
“The Lamb of God,” “The Bread of Life,” “The Body and the Blood of Christ”… these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching? Acclaimed author and teacher Dr. Brant Pitre rigorously digs down to the biblical roots of the Eucharist, through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching. We’ll discover firsthand how Christ’s Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God’s plan for our salvation.
Prayer Bible Study
In six video sessions, Prayer: Finding Intimacy with God captures the secret to opening our hearts and minds to Scripture as the means to hear from God and then respond in conversation, basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love. With the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Institute’s Lectio series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses the discipline of Lectio Divina to show you how to make prayer an effective effort of love and intimacy.
Evangelization Bible Study
In this ten-part series, Dr. Mary Healy combines insightful biblical study with Church teaching and practical advice to show how modern Catholics can effectively impact their world for Jesus Christ.
She explores topics such as the call of Jesus to evangelize, the power of the Sacraments, the role of charisms for building up the Body of Christ, techniques from St. Paul for reaching a secular culture, and more.
Mary Bible Study
Featuring the insightful biblical teaching of Dr. Brant Pitre, Lectio Mary: The Bible and the Mother of God examines what Scripture, the life of Christ, and the early Church fathers reveal about Mary. By closely examining the connections between the Old and New Testaments, Dr. Pitre presents clear and easily understood explanations about the life and identity of Mary, the Mother of God.
That Man Is You
That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. Into the Breach
Into the Breach is a groundbreaking 12-episode video series from the Knights of Columbus that seeks to answer what it means to be a Catholic man in today’s world. Inspired by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted’s apostolic exhortation to Catholic men, Into the Breach tells men they are made for greatness and challenges them to achieve it by founding their lives on God and pursuing heroic virtue.
