Welcome to the team, Kirk & Elli!

August 23, 2023

A warm welcome to two new team members at St. Anastasia Catholic Community – Kirk Hendrickson, Music Director, and Elli Burmis, Director of Religious Education and Social Concerns!

Kirk brings not only his incredible talent but also his deep connection to our parish as a devoted  member. Alongside his lovely wife Amanda and their four children, he’s ready to take the musical experience at St. Anastasia to new heights! Having previously served as our Youth Minister, Kirk knows the heartbeat of our community and will infuse it into every note he orchestrates.

Elli is no stranger to the St. Anastasia Community – she attended Kids’ Depot as a kid and then started working there at the age of 17. She came back to work at Kids’ Depot during summers throughout her college years, and that’s when she met Jake (St. A’s Director of Youth Ministry). They were married at St. Anastasia in August 2023. Elli said, “I love the St. A’s community and though it has felt like home for many years, it is a true blessing and gift to have the the opportunity to serve as the Director of Religious Education and Social Concerns. I am very thankful and excited for all that is to come!”

Welcome, Kirk and Elli! We’re glad your here to help strengthen our community in Christ!

Grow in Your Faith by Joining a Discipleship Quad

July 5, 2023

Are you ready to take the next step in deepening your relationship with Jesus Christ? We invite you to consider creating or joining a Discipleship Quad.

A Discipleship Quad is a group of four people who journey together as disciples through weekly gatherings of fellowship, ongoing conversion, and learning. This 12-month path of accompaniment fosters growth through prayer, accountability, and authentic relationships.

A Quad can be made up of people at any level of spiritual maturity, from long-time, committed Catholics to those who are just beginning their spiritual journey with Jesus. The benefit of a Discipleship Quad to each individual person is knowing the love of Jesus Christ and deepening a relationship with him. Jesus is critical to our ongoing growth in faith and, as such, our peace, joy, and fulfillment in life.

As part of a Discipleship Quad, you will get to learn with and from others, pray for and with one another, and share life with those who will become good friends, in an otherwise incredibly busy and complicated world.

Contact Fr. Paul at [email protected] or (320) 484-4867 to get started.

Totus Tuus will be held at St. Anastasia on June 25-30, 2023.

Totus Tuus (Latin for Totally Yours) is a fun and energetic parish based summer catechetical program, for both grade school age children and junior and senior high school youth.

  • The program is open to students K-12 grade. We ask that parents stay with kindergarten students. K-6th grade will meet daily from 9 AM-2:00 PM starting Monday, June 26th – Friday June 30th. Please pack a bag lunch.
  • Grades 7-12 will meet in the evening from 7:30 – 9:30 PM starting Sunday, June 25th – Thursday, June 29th.
  • Attendance is required for current 7th and 8th grade students as it will serve as their Confirmation Retreat.
  • The cost is $20 per student. A bag lunch will need to be brought with each day.

More about the program: Totus Tuus, which is Latin for “Totally Yours” (Pope St. John Paul II’s motto), is a week-long summer catechetical program for youth. A team of four young adults travel around the Diocese and teach youth in grades 1-6 during the day about various themes of our Faith. This daytime program consists of teaching, games, Holy Mass, and skits and runs from 9 AM to 2:30 PM. In the evening, a program for youth in grades 7-12 are invited to join the team for faith discussions, prayer time (including adoration), games, and the opportunity to witness college students living a fully Catholic life.
