Eucharist Bible Study
"The Lamb of God," "The Bread of Life," "The Body and the Blood of Christ"... these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching? Acclaimed author and teacher Dr. Brant Pitre rigorously digs down to the biblical roots of the Eucharist, through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching. We'll discover firsthand how Christ's Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God's plan for our salvation. This program is open to all and meets Wednesdays starting at 6:15pm, in St. Anastasia's hospitality area.
Evangelization Bible Study
In this ten-part series, Dr. Mary Healy combines insightful biblical study with Church teaching and practical advice to show how modern Catholics can effectively impact their world for Jesus Christ.
She explores topics such as the call of Jesus to evangelize, the power of the Sacraments, the role of charisms for building up the Body of Christ, techniques from St. Paul for reaching a secular culture, and more.
This program is open to all and meets Wednesdays starting at 6:15pm, in St. Anastasia's hospitality area.
Prayer Bible Study
In six video sessions, Prayer: Finding Intimacy with God captures the secret to opening our hearts and minds to Scripture as the means to hear from God and then respond in conversation, basking in his presence and resolving to live in and through his love. With the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Institute's Lectio series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses the discipline of Lectio Divina to show you how to make prayer an effective effort of love and intimacy.
This program is open to all and meets Thursdays starting at 2pm, in St. Anastasia's hospitality area.
Join us for food and conversation with others who are exploring life and faith; no strings attached. Alpha is a chance to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.

Topic: Everyone makes a difference, from the smallest child to the oldest adult, we all impact other's lives, and our lives are all impacted by others. Through a series of stories, memories, and personal experiences, I will convey the message that we all make a difference each and every day/moment of our lives..often when we least expect it. And that is exactly how God wants it. I am still in the process of writing this, and am trying to attach a bible verse to each story, but definitely relating all to God and how he puts us exactly where we need to be, and puts others in our lives, exactly where they need to be.
There is no childcare available. Open to all women, so feel free to invite your friends outside of our AFC.
