Guidelines and Criteria for St. Anastasia Parish Tithing Fund Program
The Parish Tithing Fund exists to: 1) serve the financial,
emotional and spiritual needy of St. Anastasia and the surrounding community by
providing economic support to programs, whether internal or external to St.
Anastasia, which address such needs, and 2) demonstrate giving back to God from
our first fruits.
Guidelines
The Parish Tithing Fund focuses on providing economic
support for the following:
- Programs
sponsored by St. Anastasia that help both parishioners and non-parishioners,
such as Common Cup Ministry, the parish Needy Fund, Rainbows for All God’s
Children, etc.
- Programs
sponsored by the community that help both parishioners and non-parishioners,
such as Birthright, Habitat for Humanity, etc.
- Emergency
aid to churches or individuals within the diocese, such as through the
Catastrophe Fund.
- Startup
funds or special requests for St. Anastasia programs that are not in the
current parish budget.
- Other
Special Needs as identified and supported by the pastor.
Criteria
- An
application must be completed and turned into the parish office by the
designated deadline in order for funds to be disbursed in the next quarter.
- A
member of the parish needs to make the application and be involved in the
program for which funds are requested.
- Governmental
agencies, or programs which prohibit employees or volunteers from addressing
the spiritual needs of their clients, will not be eligible for financial
support from this program.
