The Parish Tithing Fund exists to: 1) serve the financial, emotional and spiritual needy of St. Anastasia and the surrounding community by providing economic support to programs, whether internal or external to St. Anastasia, which address such needs, and 2) demonstrate giving back to God from our first fruits.

Guidelines

The Parish Tithing Fund focuses on providing economic support for the following:

  1. Programs sponsored by St. Anastasia that help both parishioners and non-parishioners, such as Common Cup Ministry, the parish Needy Fund, Rainbows for All God’s Children, etc.
  1. Programs sponsored by the community that help both parishioners and non-parishioners, such as Birthright, Habitat for Humanity, etc.
  1. Emergency aid to churches or individuals within the diocese, such as through the Catastrophe Fund.
  1. Startup funds or special requests for St. Anastasia programs that are not in the current parish budget.
  1. Other Special Needs as identified and supported by the pastor.

 Criteria

  1. An application must be completed and turned into the parish office by the designated deadline in order for funds to be disbursed in the next quarter.
  2. A member of the parish needs to make the application and be involved in the program for which funds are requested.
  1. Governmental agencies, or programs which prohibit employees or volunteers from addressing the spiritual needs of their clients, will not be eligible for financial support from this program.
