Council of Catholic Women

The National Council of Catholic Women was founded in 1919 at the call of the American Catholic Bishops. Our province includes Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. St. Anastasia & St. Boniface are part of ten parishes in the Region VI Council of Catholic Women in the New Ulm Diocese. All women of each parish are members of the CCW, and are invited to participate in meetings and events.

February is the month of the Passion of Our Lord. Unit II, St Scholastica, will serve the next luncheon.

We are still in need of people to commit one hour on Tuesdays to spend in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Call Roselin Jonas (587-3095) or Marie Bagan (234-6707).

This month of Feb, Valentines will be sold after all Masses for $2 each. Money goes to our San Lucas mission.

Sun, Feb 5: Soup & Sandwich Luncheon (Super Bowl Sunday) and Bake Sale (this will be held in place of coffee & rolls). Group 3 is asked to bring bars for this event. The group will also be responsible for the coffee and other beverages, serving, setup, cleanup, etc.—the same as for rolls/coffee. Group Chairs are Pat Markgraf and Lisa Stifter.

San Lucas Mission Valentines for Love: On Sunday, Feb 5, the CCW will be selling valentines for the mission at the Soup and Sandwich luncheon and bake sale which is being held following Mass. A donation of $2 (or more) per valentine is requested. Donations and valentines are sent to the mission and given to the people to use in exchange for food and school supplies. The people of San Lucas are extremely grateful for the support they receive through this fundraiser.

Sun, March 4: Potluck Hot Dish Luncheon (This will be held in place of the usual rolls/coffee following Mass). In place of bringing sweet rolls for serving, members should be bringing the dinner rolls/bread, bars, and pickles. Group 1 should plan to do the usual preparation, setup, serve & cleanup as for rolls/coffee. Group Chairs are Connie Schaufler & Nicole Tanata.
