Above-Ground Burial OptionsProviding an Alternative for the Future!Mausoleums and columbariums are permanent above-ground tombs for the dead. Mausoleums have openings called "crypts," and are sized for a full-body entombment. Columbariums have openings called "niches," with a cube size of 11"x11" for an urn/package of cremated remains. The history of mausoleums goes back to the early years of the church as evidenced by Rome's gallery of tombs in the Catacombs. The mausoleum and columbarium structures of today for St. Anastasia's Cemetery are impressive monuments which are constructed on a concrete foundation that meets strict compliance for endurance and longevity.
